Fertility Acupuncture
Dr. Warner is a Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM). This additional board certification enhances her ability to work closely with fertility specialists and couples preparing to undergo IUI/IVF. Acupuncture is used prior to these procedures to help lower stress levels and inflammation, as well as increase blood circulation to the reproductive organs.
It's recommended that you schedule your first appointment between Days 1-20 of your cycle (with Day 1 being the first day of your period). If you have an upcoming medicated cycle or IUI/IVF, it's recommended that you schedule your initial visit at least 1-2 months ahead of your procedure to ensure we can get in the recommended amount of sessions prior to these medications or procedures. However, we understand the ever-changing nature of cycles and schedules, so we are more than happy to do our best to accommodate your timeline whenever you're able to come in.
While acupuncture can also be used when trying to conceive naturally, it's recommended that you work with your OB-GYN to do initial blood tests and imaging to rule out any hormonal imbalances and/or anatomical/structural issues that are contributing to delayed conception. Dr. Warner is more than happy to provide acupuncture to complement the strategy and recommendations laid out for you by your medical provider.
As an ABORM Fellow, in addition to maintaining her general acupuncture license, Dr. Warner is required to take yearly continuing education courses specifically focusing on reproductive medicine and fertility acupuncture.
